I believe in giving students the tools they need to be successful rather than information only. I try to prepare students for next steps and help them take responsibility for their education. Many of the college students that I worked with were under-prepared and lacked confidence. I gave alot of encourgagement and tools they needed to be successful.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling.I ran the tutoring center for the college and taught Developmental English and English 1 to incoming freshman as well as taught the college success course.

I have taught elementary school 1-6 grades and have taught English 1 to college students. I also worked with college students who were underprepared for college and in need of tools to be successful. I worked with college students with disabilities.

I volunteer at church programs to feed the homeless. I read, and do crafts-sewing and knitting primarily.
