I believe that the type of teaching a tutor offers has to fit the way in which each of his/her student learns. I aim to find out what a student’s strengths are and seek to teach them new material using the advantage they already have. My overall aim is to help build strong study habits, rather than simply relaying facts to the student, so that each is armed with the tools they need to succeed in every academic endeavour they take on, long after I have stopped tutoring them.
I have an Honors BA in Philosophy. I graduated post-secondary school in the top 5% of my class (magna cum laude). I was awarded membership into an international honor society, known as the Golden Key. I now attend law school at the University of Western Ontario.
I have previously tutored privately in subjects ranging from science to English.
I am very talented when it comes to drawing and sketching and I have even had my work displayed in an art gallery. I also enjoy going to the gym and use my interests/hobbies to show my students that balance is key to academic success.
