My goal as a teacher/tutor is to ignite curiosity and excitement within my students. If a student is curious and excited, they can learn anything with little or reduced difficulty.
I went to a boarding high school in Lumberton, Mississippi and graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
I am currently a graduating senior (December 2014) at Oakwood University studying Elementary Education.
I have had multiple internships/opportunities to teach behaviorally challenged and special needs students. These experiences have helped me in general classrooms by allowing me to think outside of the box to reach students that have difficulty learning the desired subject/topic.
I play for the soccer and softball team for my college, as well as the intramural football and volleyball teams. I love anything outdoors, such as camping or hiking. I also love to sew and bake. I used to own my own online bakery specializing in cupcakes and pies.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I received a score of 28 on my ACT exam in high school.
