I believe that every child and person can succeed. My goal is to help students tap into this ability to be successful. Success creates an inner motivation to keep learning, and through creating stepping stones that result in success, I feel students will realize that learning can be fun and rewarding.
I am currently enrolled in a Teacher Certification program through Western Governor’s University which will include a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies for K-12. I have already completed a Bachelors Degree in Christian Education. I also have an Associates Degree in Visual Arts.
I have many years of experience working with all ages of children which include: lead teaching a Pre-K classroom, assisting in an elementary Second Grade classroom, and assisting with a multi-grade science curriculum in public schools through the Audubon Society.
I work on the side as a freelance artist and maintain an online art portfolio. I also work on web technology programming as a hobby and am using what I have learned to create an online browser game. I love science and enjoy reading about new discoveries.
