EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I I believe that every student is capable of learning. Every student is different, and will approach learning in a different way. My goal is to help the student find their strengths and develop skills that will lead them to academic and real-life success.
In any subject that I teach, I hope to build in the student lifelong skills and strategies that will help you far beyond the tutoring sessions.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a New Hampshire Teaching Certificate and a M.Ed. in Social Studies (Grades 5-12). I specialize in all areas of Social Studies, but can also Tutor in English, Math and Science.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have completed one year of Intern Teaching in U.S. History and Economics. I have designed lesson plans and taught a diverse group of students. In addition, I have tutoring experience in American Literature, Geometry and General Science. My teaching experience includes adapting and using different strategies based on each individual student.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I have also worked with a high school theatre program, where I instruct and oversee students in all areas of theatrical production. The program has produced many capable, motivated and independent-thinking students.
