All students can learn, no matter their situation. It is a teacher’s job to identify ways to reach the student, to provide the spark that gets a student interested in learning.

I have two Masters Degrees, one in teaching (Science and Education Technology), one in Fine Arts Creative Writing, and I am currently working on a Doctorate degree in Reading and Literacy. During my education, I completed two student teaching sessions, one for English and one for Biology.

I have taught high school English I, II, and III in honors, standard and inclusion settings.

I read voraciously and I write poems. I love to spend time with any or all of my five children watching movies or swimming. I also like to spend time at the pool or the park with my four-year-old grandson. Of course, we also like to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles together when it’s raining or just when he wants to snuggle with Nana on the couch.
