EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Learning should be engaging and fun! Each student is their own individual that should be provided with a learning environment that is safe, encouraging and stimulating. In order to provide such an environment and educator must be aware of issues that can affect one’s learning. To do this, I utilize my student’s strengths, and strive to make even the most challenging goals obtainable with provided strategies and supports.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I obtained my Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph in the Child, Youth and Family Program. I then went on to get my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
For the past 3 years I have been working as an Occupational Therapist as part of the School Health Supports Services program in a variety of school boards across Ontario. I teach and educate not only my students, but also school staff and caregivers to obtain their goals as well.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love to watch and play a variety of sports including rugby, volleyball and football. I also love to express my artistic as well through sketching, painting and do-it-yourself activities. Additionally, I have also been involved in organizing and carrying out fundraising events for my local communities.
