EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
As an educator, I provide individualized instruction that is differentiated based on students’ current level of understanding and background knowledge, areas for improvement, questions, and interests. My instructional strategy follows the “I do”/”we do”/”you do” model of scaffolding.
This means that I help students master new skills by first modeling the skill myself, then asking the student to practice doing the skill along with with me, and finally having the student perform this skill on his or her own. I have seen that all students can learn, and that, as an educator, it is my job to find an instructional strategy that works with a given student.
