I believe in the idea that teaching is the lighting of a fire, rather than the filling of a vessel. In other words, it is the educator’s task to inspire and intrigue the learner so that he or she becomes enchanted with the learning process, rather than simply reciting facts so that the student has to memorize and repeat.

I have a master’s degree in Teaching of Writing with an emphasis on English Composition. In addition, I have a bachelor’s degree in English.
