My personal goal is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I want to teach students in a way that has some straightforward instruction, but that also gives students room to grow and expand on their own.

I received my Master’s Degree almost 20 years ago and was working as a teacher in the NYC Dept. of Education, private schools, and in private practice. I decided in a change of career and graduated from nursing school. As a Registered Nurse, I teach patients about their care. At this time, I am combining my skills as a teacher and RN to help with language arts and science classes.

While I worked at the NYC Dept. of Education, I worked as a Speech Therapist and Reading Teacher. Having a vast knowledge of language development, I was able to apply different teaching styles to suit individual needs. I ventured into private schools and ran my own private business. Tutoring students has always been a highlight of my career.

I enjoyed dancing when I was younger, but now enjoy watching musical theater productions that my son performs in. In order to gather my thoughts, I like to listen to music and exercise, to keep the blood flowing!
