EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I try to respond to student’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual needs. Every student is different and therefore requires different approaches and techniques, thus I believe it is extremely important to adapt a teaching strategy to fit each student’s unique learning style.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I am a graduate from the University of Toronto, completing a major in Art and Art History, and two minors in World History and Sociocultural Anthropology. After my graduation I immediately completed my Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University. I then completed my teaching certification for the province of Ontario.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
During my schooling I taught grade seven Visual Arts, grade ten Civics, grade eleven American History, and grade twelve World Issues. Similarly, I was a one-on-one tutor for a student with Attention Deficit Disorder and Autism.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I am an advent volunteer for the Health and Stroke foundation, the Tourette’s Syndrome Foundation of Canada, and World Vision. This includes canvassing, helping to organize fundraisers, and participating in localized events. As a side project I am a huge supporter of visual, dramatic, and musical arts and have helped students to enhance their abilities through lessons.
