EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
I like to get the student involved as much as possible so that he/she sees through the thought process and becomes an active problem solver and participant. Students of all ages and levels benefit from this interactive approach where they see themselves as guiding as guiding their own learning.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have a Bsc in Biochemistry from Concordia University and have completed 3 years towards a medical degree in Rome, Italy. As a medical student I also gained experience as an ESL teacher and science tutor overseas.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
While working as a science and math teacher in Yemen in the late nineties, I learned how it is possible to get younger students interested in science topics which were considered too complex years earlier, and that was through illustrations and field trips.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I like to paint, write short stories, and do puzzles in my spare time. I do occasional sports such as biking and swimming and am also an avid reader.
