I believe that as an educator, my job is to encourage learning and assist in the success of my students. I want to link my students prior knowledge/background to the new topics we are learning. I also believe that the best way to learn is by doing so I encourage a lot of hands on activities. I want my students to succeed so I will differentiate for my students to help them succeed and understand the content being taught.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from Winona State University in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I am not teaching at a local elementary school and am certified in the state of Minnesota.
I have had over 500+ hours in school settings. I have assisted teachers in the classroom, taught, co-taught, and written IEP’s. I have been in classrooms ranging from toddler aged students to high school aged students.
I have played volleyball, soccer, golf, softball, and dance. I enjoy being active outside such as bike riding, walking, water activities. I love to cook and bake and each time I am in the kitchen it is a new adventure. I also like to workout and lead a healthful lifestyle so I often assist others with new meals to try, workouts, and activities they can do to lead a positive and healthy lifestyle.
