I believe that all students can be successful. With guidance and being taught through many different modalities all students can find their preferred methods of learning and learn through their strengths while building up weaknesses. Practice is important but only after the correct skills are mastered.
I have a Bachelors of Science specializing in Environmental Physical Sciences, which was focused on Earth Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. I also have a Bachelors of Education in Secondary Education with distinction where my major was Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) and minor was Mathematics. Both were obtained for the University of Alberta.
I have experience teaching from my university training as well as through volunteer positions. I have taught Sunday school for 6 years as well as other youth programs like GEMs girls club and volunteered with youth in extracurricular activities of football and synchronized swimming.
As a mother I am involved in the extracurriculars my children are engaged in. Currently, I am the manager for my son’s club football team and the teacher for the grade three girls group my daughter is involved in. I also run, swim, snowboard, garden, cook, bake, sew, and make my own soap.
