EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My goal is to help every student realize their full potential by providing guidance and support in a nurturing environment. I believe that every student needs to be encouraged to do their best and given the resources to succeed. Learning should be a positive, fun, and fulfilling experience. Teachers need to be able to adapt to each student’s method of learning in order to connect with them.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
I have an Associate’s degree in Pharmacy Technician, a Bachelor’s degree in Health Service Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Health Economics, and will have a Master’s degree in Career and Technical Education in December 2014. I also have to complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years to renew my pharmacy technician certification.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I currently teach adult students in the pharmacy technician program at a medical vocational school. The courses I teach include math, ethics, sterile compounding, microbiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I enjoy reading, running, hiking, and working on my home. I also like to watch movies, especially suspenseful ones. I love nature and I love to explore new cities. I also have 4 rescued pets.
STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS
I took the ACT exam in high school and received a score of 29.
