- For the action that has completed

- For past experience for which time is not given

Sentences in present perfect tense are created using the following rules:
– ‘Has’ is used with singular subjects
– ‘Have’ is used with I, you and plural subjects
Positive form: Subject + has / have + 3rd form of Verb + object
Examples:

- They have lived in this house for 5 years
Negative form: Subject + has/ have + not + 3rd form of Verb + object
Examples:
- He has not finished his work.
- I have not seen you before.

Interrogative form: Has/ Have + subject + 3rd form of Verb + object + ?
Examples:
- Have you been to this place before?
- Has he reached home?
