Science Explosion
I would have to say I learned the most from science. The different areas of science have taught me many things about the earth, the human body, and animals. It has broadened my range of knowledge about me and my surroundings. Physical science has taught me plenty about atoms, molecules, and the different states of matter. Everything around us takes up space, which is called matter. Matter can take on three different forms which are solids, liquids, and gases. Water is a liquid, air is a gas, and ice is an example of a solid. These are things we use in our everyday lives. Biology taught me a lot about animals and how they interact with the environment and each other. Biology talks about organ systems, organism, living things, and the necessities needed for those organisms to live. Living things consist of plants and animals and the evolution of them. For instance, plants need certain things to grow like water, sunlight, and care. In their cells, plants have chloroplast, which is used to make sugars for the cell. My favorite area of science that has taught me the most is human anatomy. I am using this area to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Anatomy has taught me numerous things about my body. I’ve learned about what causes my body to do certain things. We have 206 bones in our bodies and over 300 muscles. There are also a countless number of nerves in the body. Each bone helps movement for each body part. For instance, the humerus bone contains the biceps brachii muscle and the triceps brachii muscle. All of the bones, nerves, and muscles work together to perform different tasks and duties. Science teaches us many different things about ourselves, the environment around us and the living things that have evolved to what they are now.
