When struggling in school the first thing to do is to meet with a teacher that you know is well versed in the subject you are having difficulties in. When I was perplexed in Advanced Placement Statistics my senior year of high school, asking the teacher’s help was my first option to catch up in the class. The second option I had was meeting with a peer tutor, this allowed me to see the equations I was struggling with through another person’s perspective. This helped substantially when I was struggling in statistics. If the previous options did not provide assistance, my next option was to search video websites like youtube.com or khanacademy.com for the topic I was struggling with in class. These websites would provide step by step instruction at slower pace than the teacher would explain the material in class. These tactics would provide me with everything I needed to take on obstacles in class that I was having difficulties with. Back in high school when Advanced Placement Statistics too much for me to comprehend the first step to catching up was asking the teacher for help, if that did not help me, then I would meet with a peer tutor. If those two strategies were inconclusive then, finally, I would search websites like youtube or khan academy for step by step instruction, which was generally slower in pace than what the teacher was explaining. This helped me grasp what the material was concentrated on and allowed me to fully understand the subject material in class. Thanks to these methods Advanced Placement Statistics became easier for me to grasp. The methods explained earlier have helped me and many other people in my school, people around the world, and hopefully these tricks will help many more as years go on.
