Mememories are important events. Influential fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, once said, “What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.” Indeed he was right, and of my high school career, not many students had printable high quality pictures to reminisce about, besides the usual, obligatory picture days and overpriced yearbook pics. I set a goal to establish my vary own photography services by my Junior year to carry on to my Senior year.
I remember bringing my Nikon Coolpix B500 to school everyday. Everybody in my classes would want a picure to conjugate around and ask to send off in the vary second it was taken. This point-and-shoot wasn’t much, but it satisfied all that was in front of it. This encouraged me more to pursue photography. I didn’t know much yet of the field, but that was soon to come to me. With various tutorials and practice, I learned that I needed a more advanced camera variation, called DSLRs. Summer was soon to come, and I was asked to take my first photoshoot by a graduating senior. We talked it over, and settled it to be in the Marriad Gardens in downtown Oklahoma City. With knowledge from online sources and others in the photography buiness, my first shoot turned out successful. Pretty soon after I learned to develop the pictures, I was asked again from a coworker to have a photoshoot at Lake Hefner. This was not a senior or even a classmate, but an actual model who has done shoots before. So even more attention and lessons would be required for me to learn before I developed her pics. This photoshoot was also successful.
Ever since my first two shoots, I’ve been taking pictures for local customers across the city. I’ve even had some that I travel across cities of Oklahoma. This senior year, I’ve taken more than triple the amount of customers I’ve had over the summer and Junior year combined. Our athletic coordinator and former football coach even called over the summer to assist in filming the football season.
