How I accomplished the hardest goal of my life. 150 150 Jala Tharpe

Hi, my name is Jala Tharpe, I’m 17 years old and I’m a senior in high school. I’m going to tell you about the hardest goal I’ve ever had to accomplish in high school. This was a time when I thought popularity and having friends were more important than my grades ( 9th grade year).
During my first year in high school I didn’t take my cirriculum seriously and I suffered horribly for it. I want B’s, C’s, and F’s, all I did was “good enough” work to get by passing so I can play and talk and fight. Not knowing what I was doing to my gpa, I got in trouble with my parents by lying and they found out the truth about everything I had done that school year I passed gratefully at the end of the year but my gpa was a 2.4 and I failed my Spanish class with a 69.
That summer I got my act together, I wrote out my goals for that year and I applied it to my school ethic but here’s where I went wrong AGAIN.. I did my work but I wasn’t taking it seriously until I lost friends, heartbroken, and just done with life. The more I applied all of my time and energy on my school work the more I felt better. That’s when my friends tried to come back after and the more focused I became the better off I was.
The skill I mastered was to be self sufficient. Saying that I am a senior in high school my gpa is a 3.1 I make all A’s and maybe 1 B. I’m more focused and determined than I ever was! The lesson of this story is to stick with people that want to see you progress and stay on top of your work because you are the one that’s going to suffer.
