One night, one person, one instrument changed my life forever. It all started when I went to the most epic and life changing concert, an Ed Sheeran concert. The whole time I was mesmerized by how beautiful the guitar was. I could not get the thought of playing it out of my head. I just kept thinking of how someone could make something so beautiful come out of something that looked like a wood shaped avocado. I did not stop talking about the concert and the guitar for months. My parents thought it was just a phase and that I would get over it but I didn’t. A few months after the concert, my parents gave me my first guitar, a pink one I might add. Every single day, morning and night, I played that guitar like my life depended on it. Many years went by and I took guitar lessons and I upgraded from my small pink guitar to a beautiful black fender. Music was my whole life. Slowly I started getting better and better to where I did not need a guitar teacher anymore.. That did not stop me from continuing to learn more and get better each day. I started playing for other people besides my friends and family. I started busking out on the street and just playing some songs that were popular at the time. One day, just like all the other days I went busking, a man approached me while I was playing. He knelt down and asked me my name and age and if my parents were around. I pointed to the bench where my parents always sat and continued to play. By the time it was to go home I had completely forgot about the man. When we got home my parents sat me down and told me that the man had been listening to me for a few days and asked if I would like to play in his band he was putting together. Of course I said yes and about a week later I went to meet the other people and we instantly clicked. We started getting different bookings to play until we got an invitation to play at a festival. This was it, this was what I had been practicing and waiting for. The day finally arrived and we were up on stage and I was looking out at the crowd and I could not believe that my life goal was finally happening. It was everything I dreamed of. In that moment, I was the one inspiring other kids to play what was a beautiful and life changing instrument.
