A tornado blew and a disaster struck. In eighth grade, I have never made a B let alone a C. What happened on the test? An F appeared in bright, bold red letters. It was the subject of Biology and the test dealt with animal and plant cells. It was all so confusing for me. I had never seen such a horrendous sight lay before my eyes. Ever since I was born, all I have known to do was make A’s in every subject. How did I contract this failing grade? I locked myself in my room and studied like a lady hungry for power. I had friends to hang out with, endless of hours of fun awaited me, but I decided that I had to prioritize my education. I was surfing the web and took as many review tests and questions as it would let me. I must have answered at least hundreds of different questions.
Who would’ve known that a few days later, I would be the smartest person in the class. Not just the class, but the whole grade level too. I happened to score the highest on both the eoc and the benchmark. I felt like I had enough knowledge to make the teacher feel like she was the one in my shoes. Because of my studious nature and hard work, if I set my mind onto it, any dream that I dreamt doesn’t seem so impossible. We live to experience struggles, that’s what makes life challenging yet fun and something to look forwards to. The tornado storm that struck me seemed to faded away and colorful rays start to bloom. The important thing people must remember in their heart is that perseverance is the key to success. Have a goal and move forward towards it.
