Students should feel successful everyday in their academic endeavors. Successes may look different for each student, but my job as an educator is to empower the student to set a goal and accomplish that goal while fostering independence and excitement.
I went to the University of Michigan for my undergraduate elementary education degree. I am currently in a Science Education Masters degree program at the University of Michigan and will be finishing in 2015. I attended private elementary schools growing up, and a public high school where I was fortunate enough to play 3 sports at the Varsity level.
I have been teaching middle school science in Farmington Hills, Michigan for the last 7 years. I also tutor 3 days a week in high school math, as well as reading and comprehension tutoring for grades K-8.
I have helped coach volleyball at the middle school level. I organize all field day and teacher/student events including but not limited to any athletic events. I am the coordinator for the middle school science fair as well as the committee chair for curriculum design in the science department.
